About us

Who we are

We are a community of Christians gathered as a Reformed church in the heart of the Gallatin Valley.

At Covenant Reformed Church, everything centers on God: His unchanging Word, the advance of His Kingdom, and the care of His people. We hold fast to the historic truths of Scripture as summarized in the great Reformed confessions, while proclaiming the life-changing relevance of the gospel for every day and every season of life.

Our Story

Our congregation began in Manhattan, Montana, in 2017, as a small group committed to faithful biblical teaching and genuine fellowship. In 2019, we became a church plant of the Reformed Church in the United States (RCUS)—a denomination of confessional Reformed churches dedicated to the gospel, church planting, missions, and evangelism.

We invite you to join us as we worship, grow, and serve together in this beautiful valley God has placed us in.

We welcome families, seekers, and lifelong believers alike. Our services are centered on expository preaching, heartfelt prayer, and joyful singing of God’s praises. Come as you are—we’d love to meet you.

Our Beliefs at a glance

At Covenant Reformed Church, everything revolves around the sovereign God who saves by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. We stand in the historic Reformed tradition: Scripture as our only infallible authority, God’s electing grace from eternity past, the centrality of the church in spreading the gospel, and God’s covenant promises fulfilled in Christ. We baptize infants as covenant members, proclaim the sacraments as visible signs of God’s grace, and apply biblical truth to every area of life.

Being Reformed, at its core, simply means being biblical—reading the Word, believing the Word, and obeying the Word. We are a confessional church, which means we joyfully affirm that our confessional standards (the Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, and Canons of Dort) provide a clear, faithful, and systematic summary of what Scripture teaches. They explain even the most challenging parts of the Bible in ways that are understandable for all—so clear, in fact, that even our pastor can follow them with joy!

We also worship the way God Himself instructs us in His Word: In Spirit and in Truth, with reverence, depth, and joy. That’s why we sing Psalms and Scripture-based hymns, accompanied by piano—no fog machines, no full band, just the heartfelt voices of God’s people lifting praise to His glory. We may not have the latest production, but when the congregation sings with all our hearts, we bring the noise for the honor of our great God.
